Hi, we are Dino & Willy Resmann-De Mey, and we are the proud owners of this charming B&B The Four Elements in Lachania – Rhodos.
We immediately fell in love with Rhodes the first time we visited, and particularly the southern part, with its stunning beaches, azure blue seas, sun-drenched climate, the range of Tavernas with their excellent, healthy Greek cuisine (which is also eminently affordable) and, of course, the island residents themselves who are always welcoming and happy to help with colourful advice and information about the comings and goings in the surrounding area!
We felt at home right away and had no sense at all that we were strangers among the Greeks. This welcome has since been confirmed time and again by our repeat guests! (We had actually lost this feeling a little in our own country)
In any case, we wanted to offer something unique to our peace-seeking guests, and so we decided to share what we have found here: tranquillity, beauty and the simplicity of the island! Lovely holidays, and above all Kalos Itharthé (Welcome)
The name of the B&B
We are always being asked: Where did the name ‘The Four Elements’ come from? Well…, all of the elements together, i.e. Earth, Fire, Air and Water, form our human life here on the earth and we wanted to emphasise this association because we all just take it for granted as humans and during our holidays, we are perhaps a little more open to a bit of relaxed philosophy… Finally, our Belgian café: we thought to ourselves ‘we can’t survive without beer’ so we decided on ‘The Fifth’, or the Fifth Element (don’t philosophise over this for too long, just let it be…)
